Young Adults Weekend FAQs
- Who can attend Young Adults Weekend 2023?
- All young adults ages 18 to 30s.
- When does the event begin and end?
- YA Weekend check-in will start at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 13, and the weekend will end on Sunday, October 15, by 12 p.m.
- Where is Allaso Ranch?
- 2302 Private Road #7850, Hawkins, TX 75765
- Is there public transportation available from the Metroplex to Allaso Ranch?
- No formal public transportation will exist, but we encourage you to carpool. Please contact your campus Young Adults staff to stay in the loop about carpooling options.
- What does the registration fee cover?
- Registration covers everything for the entire weekend, including meals and lodging, but excludes transportation to and from Allaso Ranch and dinner on Friday night. Please eat before you arrive.
- Can I register when I get there?
- Sadly, no. You must register by the deadline of October 1.
- Will meals be provided?
- Yes! Meals are covered starting with Saturday breakfast and ending with Sunday breakfast. Please eat dinner Friday night before you arrive.
- What dietary restrictions does the campsite cater to?
- Allaso Ranch offers gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options on their menu.
- What should I wear?
- Whatever you feel most comfortable in. There is no need to bring any fancy clothes, and you can be as casual as you’d like. Time to break out that athleisure wear! Here is a list of some of the activities that will be offered: Horseback riding, swimming, zip lining, kayaking, archery, etc.
- What should I bring?
- Bedding, towel, toiletries, Bible, journal, clothes for outdoor activities, and casual clothes for the indoor sessions (include a jacket if you tend to get cold with the A/C running).
- Will childcare be available?
- Childcare will not be available. Please make outside arrangements.
- Are cabins assigned?
- Each attendee will be assigned to a male or female cabin at check-in. NOTE: We will not have married private lodging available.
- Can I request who I am in a cabin with?
- We will place you in a cabin with others from your campus. You may also request a couple of friends to room with when you are filling out your registration.
- How do I request financial aid?
- You can request financial aid through your campus form. The deadline for financial aid is Friday, August 13. Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis per campus.
- Are partial rates or day rates available?
- There are no partial rates or day rates available for YA Weekend.
- What is the refund policy?
- Thank you for understanding that all tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.
