In 2014, my wife and I decided to come to Texas and attend a Gateway Church service. After returning to Indiana, I reached out to the pastoral staff at Gateway to share my testimony and a “thank you” for how the ministry of Gateway had been instrumental in my family’s life. After subsequent conversations I gave my resume to a Gateway pastor. Not long after that, a Gateway leader followed up with me. Although they didn’t have any open positions in my area of interest at the time, we stayed in contact, and I did some contract writing for Gateway. Then I had the opportunity to interview for an IT position.
God aligned every necessary detail, and I started 45 days later! Working and serving at Gateway is like no other place I have ever been. The tech team made me feel like part of the family by inviting me to a team outing before I even started! I love our monthly staff chapel services where I can open my heart and hear God speak to me through our leaders. Gateway fosters a spiritual, professional, and relational environment, and I have experienced life-changing victories in my marriage, relationships, spiritual walk, and health because of it. I have been on staff nearly five years now. It is amazing to reflect on all God has done during that time. I’m looking forward to what God has for Gateway’s future and am blessed to be a part of it!
