“I just love sharing this story. Eight years ago, I went to the hospital for a routine surgery. I was supposed to go in at 8 am and be out by 5 pm. Little did I know that day would change my life forever. It changed my destiny, really. During the surgery my lung collapsed, and my heart stopped. For more than eight minutes, I flatlined. I was dead. But God—He knew that wasn’t the end for me. After being revived, I was on life support for a day and a half before being able to function on my own. Typically, when you flatline for that length of time, you end up in a vegetative state or worse. And as you can see, I’m neither! The hospital staff would come up to me and say, ‘You’re such a miracle.’ It was all God! And through that situation, I really came to appreciate who God is in my life and what true obedience to His Word looks like. He had said He would heal me eight years ago, but I tried to figure it out on my own by getting the surgery. Things really went downhill, but by His grace, He saved me and gave me an amazing testimony of His power.”
