“I became a Christian when I was 18, but years later I still felt lost. Seven years ago, I was in a really dark place and had done all I could do—all I knew to do. One morning I went into my bathroom, closed the door, and began to cry out to the Lord pleading, ‘Lord, if You would just give me a church to attend—if You would just help me, Lord—I will do anything. I will serve. I will lead. I will work. I will do whatever You ask me to do.’ I came out of the bathroom crying, but I was filled with hope and faith. When I went to work the next day, one of my coworkers, Michael Snow, stopped by my desk. He handed me a little purple egg and said, ‘I only have this one left and the Lord told me to give it to you.’ I opened the egg and discovered an invitation to Gateway’s Easter service. I began to cry because I instantly knew the Lord was leading me to Gateway Church. I came here on faith and a prayer. Now I’m serving with the church and pursuing a doctor of ministry degree at The King’s University. I’m doing whatever He calls me to do. That invitation to church has transformed my life.” Brandy and her family attend the NRH Campus.
