“I became a Christian when I was 18, but years later I still felt lost. Seven years ago, I was in a really dark place and had done all I could do—all I knew to do. One morning I went into my bathroom, closed the door, and began to cry out to the Lord pleading, ‘Lord, if You would just give me a church to attend—if You would just help me, Lord—I will do anything. I will serve. I will lead. I will work. I will do whatever You ask me to do.’ I came out of the bathroom crying, but I was filled with hope and faith. When I went to work the next day, one of my coworkers, Michael Snow, stopped by my desk. He handed me a little purple egg and said, ‘I only have this one left and the Lord told me to give it to you.’ I opened the egg and discovered an invitation to Gateway’s Easter service. I began to cry because I instantly knew the Lord was leading me to Gateway Church. I came here on faith and a prayer. Now I’m serving with the church and pursuing a doctor of ministry degree at The King’s University. I’m doing whatever He calls me to do.
