“A few weeks ago my brakes were grinding and I had to take my car to the shop. Things were already tight, and when I tithed earlier in the month, I was a little reluctant to do so. I was sick to my stomach anticipating some repair I couldn’t afford. They said I needed new brakes, rotors, and at least two new tires. When they gave me the grand total, my heart dropped. As a single parent, finances are a constant struggle. I asked the mechanic to just focus on what needed to be done immediately. We talked about how it hurts more when things like this happen as the holidays approach. After I dropped off my car and returned to work, the manager of the shop called to tell me a woman in the waiting room overheard my situation and decided to pay not only for two new tires but also a portion of my total. After getting off the phone, tears started pouring down. I knew immediately this was God showing me He is with me.”
