Matt Lankenau serves as the campus pastor for our Gateway NRH Campus. He desires to see people grow in an intimate relationship with the Lord and experience the hope that can only be found in Jesus. Matt is passionate about the Church seeing its local communities transformed by the compassionate love of Jesus. His prayer is that all sons, daughters, fathers, and mothers are redeemed to their true identities in Christ.
Matt surrendered his life to Jesus after being involved in a horrific car accident at the age of 18. To this day doctors cannot medically explain how he is alive. Through this painful experience, Matt realized God truly is active within our lives and that His plans for us are amazingly good! God has been using Matt to impact the lives of others ever since, and one of Matt’s greatest joys is pointing people to the saving grace of God.
Matt previously served as the campus pastor for our Gateway Prosper Campus. Before entering full-time pastoral ministry, he served as a missions director in Berlin, Germany, as well as a commissioned officer in Fort Worth, Texas. He received a BA in sociology from the University of North Texas and is currently pursuing a Master of Practical Theology at The King’s University.
Matt and his wife, Bethany, were married on January 7, 2006. Their daughters Lily, Ella, and Kate were all born in Berlin, Germany, and they are the greatest gifts ever given to the Lankenau family.
