Steve Thompson serves as the campus pastor for our Gateway Dallas Campus. He and the team are passionate about seeing people from every generation and nationality develop an intimate relationship with God.
Steve was saved in his dad’s church when he was eight years old. During his time in college and seminary, he worked in positions for the highway department and the shipping department of a factory and was also a valet. His ministry experience includes serving with youth, young adults, singles, young marrieds, and adults.
Steve graduated from Evangel University with a bachelor’s degree in Bible and theology and received his Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Steve and his wife, Mary, married in 1988. They have two adult children: a married daughter, Nikki, and her husband, Jeremy, and a son, Cole.
