At Gateway Church, our heart is simple: love God, love people. Everything we do centers around bringing these two together by helping people connect with God and with each other. Every ministry—including Live Production—supports this vision by creating environments where individuals can experience the presence of God and grow in their faith.

Vision of Live Production

Live Production exists to support and enhance worship experiences across all campuses. Through excellence in audio, video, and lighting, we help communicate the message of the gospel effectively, reaching thousands of people in person and online every week.

Main Auditorium

CG Operator: If you love singing along to worship songs and have a knack for detail and timing, this is the perfect role for you! Computer graphics (CG) operators are responsible for displaying worship lyrics, triggering graphics, and advancing slides. It’s one of the easiest and most accessible ways to join the team and make an immediate impact.
Camera Operator: With up to 10 camera positions in a service, camera operators are the backbone of our volunteer team. Every weekend and event require collaborative effort between all camera operators and the video director to capture the experience. If you’re passionate about creativity, energized by fast-paced environments, and love working as a part of a team, this role is a great fit.
Monitor Assistant: While front-of-house audio is staff-driven, backstage monitor assistants play a crucial role for audio. These positions work closely with the monitor board engineer and worship team, handling microphone management, transitions, rehearsals, and practices. If you enjoy supporting others and being an integral part of a team’s success, this position is incredibly rewarding.
Lighting Operators: These operators are responsible for executing the visual atmosphere of services and events. While most programming is prepared in advance, this role requires excellent timing and attention to detail to ensure smooth execution. If you love creating stunning visual experiences and want to make a lasting impact, this is the role for you!

Kids Rooms

Mix 56 FOH Operator: Serving in the Mix 56 kids’ room, this position is a load of fun! Flexibility and attentiveness are key to creating an engaging atmosphere for the kids. If you love working with children and enjoy hands-on production, this role is a great fit.
Mix 56 CG/Lighting: Lighting on a smaller scale and running lyrics in the Mix 56 kids’ room is similar to what you’d experience in the auditorium. If you’re looking for a fun and impactful way to serve in a more intimate setting, this is a perfect opportunity to get involved!

Ancillary

Classroom Tech: The Classroom Tech oversees production activities outside the auditorium and kids rooms. This flexible role includes supporting classes, small gatherings, and occasionally assisting the main stage team.

The LP team is made up of individuals with a variety of experience levels, ranging from newcomers to seasoned professionals. Whatever your background, we have a place for you.

To join the volunteer team, the first step is to attend Growth Path where you’ll discover your part in God’s story and find opportunities to grow at Gateway! You’ll also get to meet with some of our leaders and see what volunteer opportunities might fit you best.

Step 2: Reach out to the LP manager of your campus

Once you have completed Growth Path and filled out the application to become a volunteer at Gateway Church, please reach out to the Live Production manager of the campus you would like to serve at! You can easily do so by filling out this short form.

Step 3: Training

We’re passionate about equipping our team members for success. New volunteers begin by shadowing experienced team members during services, gaining hands-on insight into each role. Upon learning directly with an experienced team member, you will work your way toward operation in the position.
