Crisis Relief | Pray for Israel
God identifies Israel as—
- His Firstborn (Exodus 4:22)
- The Apple of His Eye (Zechariah 2)
- His Special Treasure (Deuteronomy 7:6)
- His Wife (Isaiah 54:8)
- His Glory (Isaiah 46:13)
- His Beloved (Romans 11:28)
- His Nation (Isaiah 51:4)
Israel is currently facing a challenging period marked by war, unrest, and rising tensions. Many lives are impacted as the situation evolves, and there is an urgent need for support and assistance for those affected in Israel. We invite you to join us in prayer and action as we seek to help ministries and individuals in need during this difficult time.
As a church, we must respond to this crisis organizationally to ensure our efforts are effective and supportive. We encourage everyone to avoid traveling to the region unless you have coordinated with a trusted organization already engaged in relief efforts. Here’s how you can help right now:
PRAY
- Pray for God’s comfort and protection for families affected by the ongoing crisis.
- Pray for wisdom and discernment when leaders decide to address the situation.
- Pray for the safety of all civilians affected—not only Israeli citizens—and those serving to protect the nation of Israel.
- Pray for Gateway’s ministry partners in the region who are actively responding to urgent needs.
- Pray for comfort for those who have lost loved ones during this time.
- Pray for lasting peace in Israel.

REACH OUT
In times of crisis in Israel, Jewish communities around the world often experience heightened vulnerability. Antisemitism manifesting as anti-Jewish sentiment, Anti-Zionism, or Jew-hatred frequently rises when Israel becomes a focal point in the news cycle. If you have Jewish friends, colleagues, or acquaintances, reach out to them to offer prayer, support, and encouragement. Romans 11 reminds us that Gentile believers are grafted into the same family tree alongside our Jewish brothers and sisters—the natural branches. When attacks occur against the Jewish people, it feels like an attack on our own family. As believers, our response should be rooted in compassion and love. Let us stand together in solidarity and support during these challenging times.
