Tracey Bennett
Department: Pastoral Care/Freedom Ministry
Joined Gateway Staff: 2004
Areas of Ministry: Since I’ve come to Gateway, I have worked in Pastoral Care. In the past, I administrated in several different areas: counseling, Freedom Ministry, Healing Ministry, benevolence, hospital ministry, pre-marriage groups and prayer. We have grown and expanded since then, and I now oversee the volunteer process for Pastoral Care, which includes Compassion Ministry, Unity (Gateway Married Life), Freedom Ministry, KAIROS, Healing Ministry and Altar Ministry. I also enjoy ministering to people and assisting Pastor Bob Hamp, our Executive Pastor.
Family: Husband Dan (since 1985); four girls: Allison, Jessica, Elizabeth and Caelin; three dogs: Harrison, Abby and Joy
Saved: I grew up in church, but in 1993, my husband and I left our denomination and started attending a Spirit-filled church. That’s when I developed a true relationship with the Lord and my life changed.
Education: I graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1984. Go MIZZOU!
Previous Lines of Work: I worked in retail many, many years ago and then became a stay-at-home mom for 17 years. I worked part time in the children’s ministry at my previous church and until I came on staff full-time at Gateway.

Most People Don’t Know This About Me: My parents met during WWII in Belgium. My mother is Belgian and father is Italian. My grandfather was taken into custody and put in a concentration camp by the Nazis for publishing an underground newspaper against the Nazis called La Veritas which means “The Truth.” Unfortunately, he became ill while there and passed away.
