Joined Gateway Staff: I joined the Gateway staff in August 2006.

Areas of Ministry: I serve as the Executive Pastor of the Frisco Campus.

Family: Cheri (wife, married since 1993); two kids—Andrew (9) and Lindsay (7). We have a dog named Zoe.

Saved: October 1976 at church during a Sunday night service.

Education: Graduated from Christ For the Nations Institute (CFNI) in 1991

Previous Lines of Work: I have served in many different areas of ministry. I started as Youth Pastor/Worship Leader, directed Living Praise (a traveling music ministry from CFNI) and have served as a Small Groups Pastor and Men’s Pastor.

One of the Things I Find Most Fascinating: God’s grace!!! Grace blows my mind!

Best Thing Someone Said to You: After returning from my honeymoon, someone said to me, “The good thing is that the honeymoon doesn’t have to end.”

People I’d like to Meet: Well, I would really like to do more than meet these people. I would like to spend some time talking to them about the Lord, life, culture and leadership: President Ronald Regan, Princess Diana, Bono and Andy Stanley.

My Hero: My wife

One of My Greatest Experiences with God: My time as a student at CFNI and at Trinity Fellowship’s Men’s Retreat in 2000 when Pastor Clark Whitten spoke on grace.

Most People Don’t Know This About Me: Growing up, I was a Calf Roper and Team Roper. I qualified for the High School National Rodeo Finals all four years of high school in three different events. I also built my first house with my own hands.
