I asked Christ into my heart at the age of nine. I remember holding my dad’s hand as I walked to the front of our local church and professed my faith. I remember feeling very solemn and serious—grown up. Even then, I knew the significance of my decision. 

Family
My husband, Mark, and I were high school sweethearts. We married right out of college and have been together over 30 years. We have four children: Ashley, John, Luke, and Matthew. Everyone in our family is a serious dog lover so I can’t fail to mention our other family members: Katy, Bo, Stella, and Piper.

Fun Facts​

The best advice I’ve ever received is to tell people what they mean to you and to tell them often. We become so familiar with each other that we fail to intentionally speak value into those we love. I want the last words someone hears from me to communicate, I love you. 

In my free time, I enjoy being alone (I’m an only child, and I think I got used to being comfortable with my own thoughts), having a spa treatment (I can feel my blood pressure lower just thinking about it), or taking a walk (I hear God best while taking a stroll).

I’m passionate about people, especially my family and my extended church family. I hope my greatest legacy will be that I helped others find and value the treasure within them and that they felt safe and loved in my presence.
