Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. Who is like me? Let him proclaim it. Let him declare and set it before me, since I appointed an ancient people. Let them declare what is to come, and what will happen.” –Isaiah 44:6–7 (ESV)
The word declare means “to make known or state clearly.” As Christ followers, we have the opportunity and responsibility to make the name of the Lord known and to communicate the His goodness to the world around us! This declaration is not just through our words; we can declare it through our actions, habits, and lives, too. When we do so, we’re living out His command to make His name known, proclaim His love, and share the truth of the gospel!
Take a moment to reflect on the gift we have in the message of Jesus! God’s love isn’t distant or abstract—it’s personal, powerful, and transformative. His love brings hope, salvation, and eternal life for each of us who believes. This isn’t a message we keep to ourselves! God has set a redemptive plan in motion—a plan to save and restore humanity—and by His grace, we get to join Him. We’re called to boldly declare to the world that He is the one true God. He hasn’t abandoned us. He’s coming back for His people. Our message is one of life, light, and eternal hope.
Because of the promise of His return, we can live with confidence and peace. Our hope is not based on circumstances—it is anchored in salvation, strengthened by God’s redemption, and secured by His protection and faithfulness.
As 1 Thessalonians 4:13 reminds us, we “do not grieve like [those] who have no hope” (NIV). Our hope is alive because Jesus is alive. Our future is certain because our Savior is faithful. Today, remind yourself that you serve a loving God who is powerful and is with you in every situation. And pray for open doors and boldness to share God’s love and hope with everyone as you live a life that declares He is the hope for the world!
Prayer: Father, thank You for allowing me to partner with You in sharing the gospel “that brings salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16 NIV). Open my eyes and fill me with Your love so I can love people. Please work through me as I share the hope that is in me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
