My wife, Linda, and I were married September 4, 1982.

What do you like to do in your free time?
My favorite thing to do is unplug and hang out with my family (especially my grandkids!). I play the guitar and sing all the time. I am also a runner and a voracious reader.

What might people find surprising about you?
My spiritual life began as a hippie at UC Berkeley in California.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
God is Who He is and not who and what I want Him to be.     

What’s your most embarrassing moment?
When I proposed to my wife on our first date and forgot to get down on one knee.
