The stage is set, the lights are dimmed, everyone is in their seat. The first note of music sounds, and Pink Impact begins. Have you ever wondered what it takes to get to this moment? The answer is—undoubtedly—a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a whole lot of prayer. You see, nothing we do would be possible without prayer. Your prayers. Our prayers.

Before anything is envisioned, planned, or communicated, Pink Impact begins with prayer. Pastor Debbie and her team sit together and ask the Lord what He wants to say to His girls. We don’t want to do anything without the presence of our Lord. Our leadership always reiterates, “Without His presence, we are just planning another women’s event. And we don’t need another women’s event. We need His presence.”

Once the theme is chosen, talk turns to speakers, décor, planning for the After Party, and much more. The glamor fades, and the conference planning gets really practical ... the nitty gritty. Where is everyone going to park? What will the stage look like? Did we get the right permit for that? What about insurance? And the question we all dread answering ... Did we forget something? But even when we are knee-deep in the sometimes not-so-fun, very detailed, “don’t forget to do that” or “it might all fall apart” stage, we never forget that His presence is our #1 goal.

Our hope is that when you walk through the doors of Pink Impact this year, the first thing you notice is the life-giving, peace-filled, loving presence of God (it’s okay if you notice the décor too). We can have the most eloquent speakers, talented musicians, and high-tech stage, but all of that is really just the cherry on top of coming together as daughters of the King and having an encounter with Him.

Leading up to Pink Impact, one of the most prayed prayers is that every woman attending would have a God encounter. He has never failed to show up and meet with His girls, and we don’t expect 2017 to be any different. We hope that you come with great expectations and open hearts. See you soon!

Love,
The Pink Impact Team
