Gateway Care Serve Opportunities

Gateway Care offers encouragement to those within our Gateway family who are walking through challenging life events. If you’re experiencing a need such as critical illness, hospitalization, or the loss of a loved one, we want to be there for you. Or if you want to share the joy of a birth or marriage, we also want to bless you.

Bereavement Friends

Do you have a heart for coming alongside those who have lost a loved one? We need encouragers to build a relationship by making phone calls and meeting with a grieving individual or family.

GriefShare Facilitator

GriefShare is a 13-week support group utilizing video lessons and small group interaction. Facilitators guide discussion and ministry time. Prior participation in a GriefShare class is preferred. Group leadership experience is not required.

Care Corps

Share God’s heart and Gateway’s passion with those who need care and support through personal visits, phone calls, encouragement cards, gift deliveries, and other ministry opportunities. Our volunteers say repeatedly that in reaching out to others, they're blessed beyond what they give.

Office Assistance

Express your heart to serve the Lord and Gateway Church through hands-on work in data entry, mail preparation, and other administrative tasks. Prior experience is not necessary and training is provided.

Prayer Partners

Prayer is the engine that drives our care ministries. We’re seeking committed partners to intercede for those in need of sustaining strength and miraculous breakthrough. An active email account is required to receive regular updates with prayer requests and praise reports.

Prayer Shawl

Do you love to knit or crochet? Use your skill and creativity to bless brothers and sisters in our Gateway family by making special gifts and lifting the recipient in prayer. Volunteers work on their shawl or blanket individually and meet every two months as a group. Yarn and patterns are provided.
