Happy New Year from Gateway Church! We are so thankful for all the Lord did in 2014, and we are excited about the ways we already see Him moving in 2015. At the start of each new year, Gateway takes the time to present opportunities and resources to help you put God first in your life. Whether you’ve been at Gateway for many years or you’ve only been with us for a short time, there are so many ways to participate! We know God will move in your life for honoring Him with the first of your new year.

Gateway’s First Conference is a great way to kick off the new year! This year’s conference starts with Jack Hayford during our weekend services (January 3–4) and continues with featured speakers John Maxwell, Tom Mullins, John Gray, and Miles McPherson. You won’t want to miss this exciting time of moving and insightful worship, messages, and ministry. For times and locations, visit first.gatewaypeople.com.

January 10–February 22

Our culture is saturated with opposing views on what it means to be blessed, but what does the Bible say about it? How can we live blessed lives? Join us for this seven-week series based on Pastor Robert’s life message and bestselling book, The Blessed Life. With new examples, testimonies, and a weekend to hear from Pastor Jimmy Evans, this series will encourage you and challenge the way you think about generosity and living a full, blessed life.

January 11–31

For the past nine years, Gateway has released a devotional in January to unite the church and dedicate the first of the year to the Lord. This year, our 21-day devotional will be included in a special edition of Pastor Robert’s book, The Blessed Life. Pick up your complimentary book during weekend services January 3–4 or January 10–11. It also includes a CD featuring original worship songs from Gateway Worship artists.

Beginning January 11, audio of the devotional will be available for free on the myGateway App or at theblessedlife.gatewaypeople.com. You can also download it from iTunes for $0.99.

January 11–31
Sometimes after a busy season, we need to slow down, rest, and set our focus on the Lord again. Realigning our priorities to God’s heart and making time to listen to His voice are important things that often go on the back burner, and that’s why, as a church, we are setting aside 21 days to fast and pray.

Please pray about how God may want you to fast. If your health allows, consider fasting one meal a day or perhaps a certain type of food. Or you may want to consider fasting things like television, nonessential email, or social media, which can often consume a great amount of time in your daily life. Instead, we encourage you to dedicate time to reading God’s Word, praying, and listening to His direction for your life, your family, or the church in the upcoming year.

January 11–31

The best way to start the new year is not only by reading the devotional and participating in the fast but by joining your church family in connecting to the Lord through daily prayer and discussion. Log onto the myGateway App and keep the conversation going with 21 days of prayer activation videos and opportunities to interact with others, request prayer, discuss what you’ve learned, and instantly see how God is moving through The Blessed Life.

January 11–February 22
Gateway Church always has small groups, but during this seven-week series, we want to be a church of small groups. With discussion guides available and opportunities to grow in your faith and community, this series provides the perfect chance to host or attend a group. We’d love to see every person at Gateway growing and connecting with others during this time. To find a group that’s right for you or to host a group, visit groups.gatewaypeople.com.

Beginning January 11
The Blessed Life series not only inspires us to be generous with money, but with every area of our lives. This year we’re launching Bless A Life, an initiative to bless others in our lives and communities. Whether it’s buying the next person in line a cup of coffee or volunteering at a homeless shelter, we want to encourage you to be a blessing. Each Gateway campus and Blessed Life series group will have a variety of opportunities to participate, so be on the lookout for ways that you and your family can bless a life. Visit blessalife.gatewaypeople.com for tips and ideas.
