Communion Ministry Volunteers have two distinct volunteer opportunities: communion preparation and communion service. Prep team volunteers prepare and clean up the communion elements on weekends when we corporately partake in communion. The service team is made up of volunteers who serve the communion elements to our congregation.
Connection Ministry Volunteers purposefully connect with attendees before and after weekend services to learn their Gateway story, invite them to serve, and provide them with next steps.
Greeter Ministry Volunteers joyfully welcome all who enter Gateway Church and the Auditorium. Their purpose is to prepare the hearts of seekers, attendees, visitors, and members by welcoming everyone with a smile and a friendly handshake. A warm greeting helps prepare hearts for worship and receiving the Word of God.
Guest Central Ministry Volunteers are a source of information to guests and members alike. They assist ministry staff by setting up the guest reception in Guest Central and joyfully greeting all who visit the reception following the weekend services and special events at Gateway.
GXP Supply Team Ministry Volunteers ensure all Guest Experience ministry teams are properly resourced with the necessary supplies needed to perform their assigned ministry functions.
Grand Prairie, Southlake, and NRH Campuses Only
Parking Lot Ministry Volunteers help create a welcoming experience for our members and guests by providing practical assistance for guests in need. They also drive the golf carts to provide rides for our guests to and from the campus and their vehicles. For many of our guests, the parking lot attendant is the first person they encounter at our campuses.
Usher Ministry Volunteers greet and assist the congregation in finding seats in the Auditorium. They work with the deacon ministry and other Guest Experience volunteer teams to ensure that all service issues are handled appropriately.
Volunteer Hosts Ministry Volunteers serve in the Serve! Lounge during our weekend services. They help connect new volunteers as they begin serving, coordinate with those seeking a place to serve in a desired area of ministry, and help create and maintain a friendly, clean, and safe environment for our volunteers.
Southlake Campus Only
Welcome Center Ministry Volunteers graciously greet and provide information for all who visit the Welcome Center during our weekend services and special events at Gateway. They assist other ministries in communicating information to guests and members of Gateway.
