Gateway Business Leaders Program

Business Leaders

Gateway Business Leaders desires to serve the business leaders of Gateway Church by empowering them to have strong relationships with God and their families while running successful businesses. Our vision is to build God’s kingdom by accelerating the business leaders’ success and influence. Our mission is to train, equip, and disciple Christian business owners and corporate leaders to effectively apply Biblical principles and best practices to fulfill God’s unique calling in their lives and in the marketplace.

It is estimated that during the work week in the United States, over 55% of our waking hours are spent in a workplace environment. For many, work has little connection with their faith, but at Gateway, we believe faith is relevant to everyday life, including your business and business leadership. By offering relevant curricula, leveraging innovative technology, and cultivating authentic relationships in a safe and protected environment, we help business leaders ground their work and leadership in God’s original design and purpose for business.

Candidates for the Gateway Business Leaders program fall into two main categories with different opportunities for each:

  1. Business Owners: A business owner is defined as someone who owns a majority interest in the business they lead.
  2. Corporate Leaders: Corporate Leaders are defined as Presidents, C-Level Executives of private and public corporations that have more than 100 employees, and Vice Presidents that oversee at least 50 employees.

Our program is not intended at this time for non-profit leaders, first-time start-up entrepreneurs, direct sales agents, network marketers, manufacturing sales representatives, and realtors working for franchise real estate organizations. If you are an eligible candidate, we invite you to apply.

FIVE PILLARS OF GATEWAY BUSINESS LEADERS

  1. Events
  2. Groups
  3. Mentoring
  4. Training
  5. Resources

Events
We offer several events designed to connect, equip, and enhance business leaders’ skills, knowledge, and effectiveness. We have business leaders who work in a variety of industries and different size businesses who share their professional experience and how they live out their beliefs and faith at work.

We also offer seminars that explore Biblical principles on how to operate your business and make decisions that align with the word of God. We have engaged leaders with a demonstrated record of success who will share best practices, lessons learned and functional excellence.

You must be a member of the Gateway Business Leaders program to attend any of our events.

Groups
Many Christian business owners and leaders feel isolated in business. At times, they may feel as if they are sales targets. This pillar provides a safe place to build authentic peer relationships that support professional, spiritual, and personal growth. Members are also able to solicit candid feedback and work through situational issues to make informed decisions. The custom-designed curriculum and discussion questions provide opportunities for members to shape or develop business policies and best practices that are consistent with Biblical principles.

Gateway Business Leader groups are made up of 8-10 people meeting on a regular basis with a trained facilitator. These groups provide an opportunity to connect with other business leaders who have comparable business and leadership experience. Group meetings are designed to provide relevant discussion and Biblical counsel as well as resources to challenge, inspire, support, and equip leaders in all areas of life and business.

You must be a member of the Gateway Business Leaders program to participate in these groups.

Mentoring
Currently, mentoring is only available on a limited basis to Gateway Business Leader members with an interest in mentoring or being mentored. These mentoring opportunities match successful and credible Christian business leaders with Christian mentees. Mentors share experiences, best practices, and Christian counsel to foster growth in a mentee’s effectiveness and stewardship in business, leadership, and overall walk with God.

Mentoring runs for approximately twelve weeks, with mentor/mentee pairs meeting once every two weeks to go through a Bible-based business curriculum and discuss specific ways the mentee can improve their business practices and relationship with God.

Training
Throughout the year, we offer classes on relevant business and leadership topics presented by subject matter experts.

Resources
We understand that you have may not have time to research the best resources for your professional and personal growth. As a Gateway Business Leaders member, you will have access to a list of resources that will help you develop into the leader God has called you to be.

Please note, Gateway Business Leaders' purpose is not business networking. We understand business opportunities might occur organically but we prohibit overt networking and solicitation. Our desire is to provide a safe place for business leaders to connect, learn, gain insights from others, and receive training from subject matter experts.
