SINGLE MATTERS by Pastor Larry

As I come off Sabbatical, I can't lie; I’m having a hard time adjusting to life as usual. But believe it or not, I’m ready to get back to work. I'd like to share some big things that are coming up in August.

• August 8 we’ll join the All-Church Presbytery, and August 15 Pastor Chad Sykes will bring a message on Singles and Money.


• Breakout Classes will begin Monday, August 22, with lots of great options for you:
  • NEW CLASS: “In a Relationship” — Every single person celebrates when their status changes to “in a relationship,” and everyone wants to do things right in their new relationship. So if your status has changed, this class is for you. We’ll experientially cover all aspects of being “in a relationship” from the first date to how you can become a new family, blend well and change the negative statistics for second marriages. This class will be taught by Pastor Larry.
  
  
  • In our GSA Breakout classes, we’ll be learning how to improve effectiveness both professionally and personally through connecting with people. We had a great turnout this past spring for our Breakout classes.
    
    
    • 30ish class | over 240 people
    • 40ish class | over 260 people
    • 50ish class | over 150 people
    
    
  • Divorce Care is offered at 7:00 pm every Monday night.
  
  
  • NEW CLASS: “Self Care” — Single people are some of the most powerful people on the planet. They’re able to handle huge workloads, help people in need and endure hardship, but sometimes they don't know how to take care of themselves. This class will focus on healing and empowering the “Single” soul to prepare for their next season.
  
  
  • Single Mothers and Single Fathers will also have classes. Visit re.gatewaypeople.com to get a complete list of all the options for Single Parents.
  
  
  • Fantastic ministry is offered for children from birth through high school.
  
  
• A delicious dinner is served every Monday night at 5:45 pm for just $5.00 per person. We now accept credit cards!

GSA Class | Divorce Care
Mondays, August 29–December 19 | 7:00 pm [SLK]

If you’re going through the painful experience of separation or divorce, you don't have to go through this time alone. This 13-week class will help you learn how to deal with the pain of your past and look forward to rebuilding your life. The cost is $25 for the materials. Children’s ministry is available. If you have to miss part of the session, you can still register and begin at any time.
